Study Aims to Improve Livability, Mobility and Safety of Greater Rubicon Corridor

Brooks Rehabilitation Breaks Ground on First Building Registered for LEED Certification on a Healthcare Campus in Northeast Florida

Jacksonville, Fla.- May 16, 2008 -- Gresham, Smith and Partners, a leading national architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm, announces it has designed the first building in Jacksonville on a healthcare campus that is registered for LEED certification on behalf of Jacksonville-based Brooks Rehabilitation.  Ground has been broken for the nearly 47,000 square-foot facility that will serve as the corporate headquarters for the Brooks Health Systems 143-bed Rehabilitation Hospital and its 25 outpatient clinics located from Southeast Georgia throughout Florida.  Construction of the $14.8 million building is anticipated to be completed in July 2009.
