Laura W. Fiffick, P.G., Joins As Senior Sustainability Programs Manager

Senior Project Manager Brings More Than 18 Years of Environmental Compliance Expertise to Team

Dallas, TX –December 19, 2008 -- Gresham, Smith and Partners, a leading national architecture, engineering, interior design and planning firm, is pleased to announce that Laura W. Fiffick, P.G., has joined as a senior sustainability programs manager in the firm's Environmental Compliance market.  Laura is a registered environmental manager, certified safety professional and licensed professional geologist with more than 18 years of experience.  

Prior to joining GS&P, Laura served as director of environmental quality for the City of Dallas where she helped to achieve ISO 14001 certification across the City's major operations, an international recognition for environmental management.  Laura also developed an air quality program for the City that included ozone attainment programs as well as greenhouse gas inventories and associated reduction initiatives.  Prior to joining the City, she served as environmental affairs manager for the Port of Houston Authority where she was responsible for environmental and industrial hygiene compliance, leading the Port Authority through ISO 14001 certification.

Laura has served on the Environmental Protection Agency Local Government Advisory Committee since 2007. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Texas A&M University and a Masters of Science in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Houston at Clear Lake.  Laura also attended law school at South Texas College of Law.
