Firm Leads The Charge In Creating Cutting-Edge Cardiac/Thoracic, Oncology ORs
NASHVILLE - May 15, 2012 - Gresham, Smith and Partners, a leading multi-disciplinary design and consulting firm for the built environment, is pleased to announce the completion of several hybrid operating rooms at hospitals and medical facilities across the country. GS&P recently provided design services for three hybrid operating rooms at Nashville's Saint Thomas Hospital, two of which will be used exclusively for cardiac and vascular procedures and one for neurosurgical procedures. The projects bring the grand total of completed GS&P-designed hybrid operating rooms nationwide to eleven, which is 10% of the approximate 100 hybrid operating rooms in the United States, according to the ECRI Institute. Newly Updated Building Revives Central Student Space, Improves Dining Circulation

Open Design, Smart Layout Support Goal Of Providing Quality Inpatient Care
NASHVILLE - May 3, 2012 - Gresham, Smith and Partners, a leading multi-disciplinary design and consulting firm for the built environment, is pleased to announce the completion of a 220,000-square-foot, 48-bed patient-room addition for Miami Valley Hospital South (MVHS) in Centerville, Ohio. MVHS, which is part of Premier Health Partners, opened in 2007 as an outpatient and emergency facility and added a 10-bed inpatient wing in 2009. The GS&P-designed five-story addition includes 48 private patient rooms on its top two floors, with shell space on the second and third floors that will allow the addition of 49 more private patient rooms. Speakers Attend Annual Event to Discuss Stormwater Harvesting, Reuse, and Biosolids Management with Thermal Drying
Birmingham, Ala. - April 19, 2012 - Gresham, Smith and Partners, a leading multi-disciplinary design and consulting firm for the built environment, is pleased several members of their Water Services staff presented at the 2012 Alabama Water Environment Association's Annual Conference and Technical Program held in Orange Beach, Alabama, April 15 – 18. GS&P speakers presented on two topics. The first presentation was on watershed management using stormwater harvesting and reuse at the Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport with the second presentation addressing the implementation of a long-term biosolids management plan for Bowling Green Municipal Utilities using new thermal drying technology to produce a Class A product. GS&P participants also heard State and Federal regulatory briefings, attended technical sessions on new and innovative treatment processes and procedures and viewed the latest in water and wastewater technology and equipment.
