Charlottesville-Albemarle (CHO)
Charlottesville, Virginia
The existing terminal was completed in the early 1990s and, in order to accommodate changes due to new security and baggage screening requirements, the building needed extensive renovations and upgrades. GS&P was selected to address the deterioration of the interior finishes and design ways to accommodate changes in the way the terminal was utilized. The scope of the work included the relocation of the baggage screening area, the installation of a new outbound conveyor system, and upgrades to existing engineering systems to improve operating efficiencies. The project also included graphic and interior design services to freshen the look and feel of the terminal and airport campus, such as a monumental site entry sign and new vehicular directional signage.
