Jacksonville, Florida
The duPont legacy continues with a new headquarters. Created in 1935, the Alfred I. duPont Testamentary Trust supports The Nemours Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to restore and improve the health of children.
With a new home selected along the riverfront, the new four-story headquarters building, opening in late 2008, will offer additional space and a more-visible presence in downtown Jacksonville. The 40,000-square-foot building incorporates several sustainable design features such as a glass-roofed atrium providing natural day lighting throughout, rooftop gardens and a cistern for water reuse.
The duPont Trust headquarters will become a landmark in Jacksonville, easily recognizable from the riverfront and downtown areas. GS&P, the architect of record, is teaming with GUND Partnership as the design architect for this project.
