To help set the stage for the two-level terminal and other projects at the airport, GS&P provided architectural, engineering and graphic design services for a new $24 million parking facility. The original project consisted of two separate four-level structures with 2,400 parking spaces, with future expansion to 5,200 spaces. This was all done in accordance with a long-range terminal master plan prepared by GS&P. The garage is a major design element to the long-range image of the airport and therefore required an extensive design study looking at a variety of alternatives prior to selection of the current scheme.
